We Are Totally Independant And 100% Committed To Our Clients Advise Property Lawyers In Cyprus
Cyprus property lawyers – Review – Lawyers in Court – Completed on 14th August 2011 - http://www.lawcyprus.org/
Until recently it was unheard of for a Cyprus lawyer to be brought up before the courts for any complaints against them. The reason being, no lawyer would represent the client making the complaints and go against another Associate in the legal profession.
However, this has now changed and many complaints are coming forward at tremendous speed also. On a monthly basis over fifty complaints are coming forward against lawyers and most of the cases are for property involving developers.
It is reported that it is mostly British ex pats making the complaints and mostly are against Paphos lawyers with one lawyer imparticular receiving numerous complaints.
The complaints are coming so thick and fast there is now a major backlog. And the disciplinary board is only made up of 7 members. The board has the authority to fine, suspend and even strike off a lawyer.
However, there is a procedure that causes great delay and reason for the backlog being that once a complaint is made the lawyer in question is allowed to view the complaint and make comments on this. The lawyer very rarely makes any comments or even takes any notice, so the case is always on hold waiting for the lawyer in question to respond.
The board must crack down harder on these lawyers for the complaints to proceed more speedily and efficiently but if found guilty and once the board get on top of all the cases there could be many lawyers in serious trouble.
Why now have all these complaints come forward? Because a case was taken to the Supreme Court in 2011 against a Paphos lawyer and the court ruled against him. This was a historical moment in Cyprus and with all the controversy with developers and title deeds, Cyprus property owners feel they have more power now…and maybe they do?
It is sad to say there are Lawyers out there who do not abide by the law book and you have to be very careful when choosing a Cyprus Lawyer. We pride ourselves on our commitment to our clients and our total independence from any other company in all sectors.

Will The Protests Harm Future Investment For Iraq Wonder Property Lawyers In Cyprus
Cyprus Property Lawyers – Review – Iraq protests and investments
Just when we thought things were looking up for Iraq people, civil protests have broken out which really could jeopardise this countries future.
We would have thought the Iraqi people would be rejoicing at this moment in time due to a 30 year period of war coming to a complete stop. But this is not the case!
Protestors are once again as in previous reports from Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya taking to the streets in order to remove yet another government official.
The 30 year long war has seen Iraq demolished with barely adequate living conditions and unemployment inevitably at an all time high. It has been reported that electric is only supplied for a few hours of the day and corruption is very strife!
While they have no political grievances, economic issues are forerunners for the protests!
While we understand the nature of the protests and the urgency we also wonder if they are only hurting the country more.
Now the war is over so to speak and military troops are set to leave Iraq has been a hot topic of conversation for new development and world wide investment.
All the states in Iraq have prepared there lists for new development wanting for worldwide tenders to be put forward so why begin such forward so why begin such unrest now.
We wonder if the protests will endanger such progression taking place and stop investment interest from coming forward.
Realistically you have to wonder if this country will ever see peace or even if they want peace?
Everyone would like to see the Iraq people experience a new rebuilt country and economy. Everyone wants to see the Iraq people be able to live a comfortable life with good jobs at least give this a chance to happen.
At the same time we do not live in such conditions so who are we to say what the Iraqi people are experiencing.
Tell us you’re thought on the matter we would welcome any views from our readers.
